Commercial Strategy Lead, Go-To-Market, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Go-to-Market Strategy, Sales Operations, Strategy and Operations, Management Consulting, Finance, or Program Management.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and modeling.
  • Experience working with executive-level clients or stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to manage highly complex and cross-functional initiatives independently and without oversight.
  • Excellent ability to present complex topics to executive level leadership and work with internal and external senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to define and build complex sales motions to accelerate business growth and drive customer value.
  • Comfort with working in a fast growing, dynamic and often ambiguous environment.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Commercial Strategy Lead on the Commercial Office team, you are interested in both Strategy and Operations, with primary focus on developing and delivering against a strategic roadmap for growing Google Cloud. You are responsible for identifying approval requirements, preparing commercial analysis to guide executive decisions, anticipate and manage reviews across regions that flow to the commercial office, review upcoming policies, identify gaps and propose opportunities to scale existing approval processes. You are responsible for monitoring and analyzing commercial trends and business generation opportunities in the industry/market and observing external competitor behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue acceleration and increasing cost efficiencies and ROI for GTM.
  • Provide commercial due-diligence and advice for the GTM processes while ensuring we improve speed, results and seller, and customer experience.
  • Partner with Sales leadership, field teams, DPO, Legal, Finance, and cross-functional leaders to work approvals and drive efficiency.
  • Improve our ability to execute agreements efficiently, improving both field team and customer experience.
  • Identify commercial process bottlenecks and contribute towards streamlining these processes.
