Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience in database querying (SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with digital video technologies and streaming platforms.
  • Excellent project and client management skills.

About the job

The YouTube Business Product Activation Team is responsible for bringing product to market and market to product. The team works closely with both business and product leaders to scale adoption of YouTube products across the partner and creator ecosystem.

The core capabilities of the team include: designing go-to-market strategies, identifying and prioritizing product activation opportunities across the business, ensuring launch readiness, defining and driving execution on product activation across segments, understanding needs of partners and creators to provide Product teams with market feedback and prioritization to shape product roadmaps, developing content strategy, collecting and synthesizing user feedback, and tracking performance.

The YouTube Content Partner Engineering team works across YouTube's most complex and highest priority partners globally. The teams combination of technical skills and industry/business expertise enable us to engage across a number of technical service offerings with our portfolio of partners as well as work closely with product and engineering teams to incubate and mature scalable product solutions that ultimately help partners grow, operationalize, monetize, and protect their content and their business on our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of technical partnerships across various content verticals. Work closely with Business Development teams as the technical expert helping to negotiate new agreements and empower partners to find success on YouTube.
  • Incubate and develop new and innovative product solutions to empower our content partners, solve technical challenges, drive internal efficiencies, and deliver impact across the business.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the flow of existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation including AI use cases to drive efficiencies.
  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate for new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Apply technical and project-management skills to guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance.
