Director, Public Sector Sales, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in Public Sector Software Sales.
  • Experience in enterprise sales and general management in Cloud based technology.
  • Experience with C-level customer relationships and connectivity in relevant markets. Experience with commercial agreements and negotiations.
  • Experience of growing and leading teams and businesses within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in selling IT/Cloud solutions to regulated industries
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in German and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing national and international teams within matrix organizations for Public Sector markets.
  • Understanding of enterprise software/infrastructure marketplace and key players as well as technical factors driving competitive landscape.
  • Commercial orientation with finance and sales discipline.
  • Relationships to key institutions in the Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive innovative programs focused on delivering growth at Google scale. Meet with customers/policy makers and participate directly in shaping the key agreements and accounts within the sector.
  • Lead a sales team to meet quarterly and annual bookings objectives.
  • Develop and execute the overall Public Sector Cloud strategy for Germany. 
  • Drive the engagement with  all government entities and represent Google cloud with government officials and during Public Sector events.
  • Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Google Cloud products and services in the region.
