Contracts and Deal Execution Specialist, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in contract management, public sector procurement, or agreement strategy and management, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 6 years of experience working in technology within Contract Administration, Legal, or similar functions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in two or more of the following: Public Sector legal negotiations, Public Sector Inbound Procurement, or Public Sector Contract Management.
  • Experience working with US Public Sector or IT infrastructure, cloud and digital transformations, including collaborating with executive level cross-functional leaders.
  • Experience in redlining and negotiating agreements and drafting skills with knowledge of the key business issues in government agreements.
  • Knowledge of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) and with all agreement types during all agreement lifecycle phases.

About the job

The Contracts and Deal Execution (CDE) team, within the Deal Operations and Sales Enablement (DO&SE) organization, is instrumental in structuring, negotiating, executing, and managing agreements for Google Public Sector (GPS).

As a CDE member, you will have the primary responsibility of managing all phases (strategizing, planning, managing escalations, negotiating, and closing) of the agreement process. This role has a specific focus on negotiating and agreement drafting. As such, you will be responsible for owning the agreement negotiation process, including agreement markups and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure contractual language is acceptable to GPS risk profile.

In this role, you will help strategize, negotiate, and manage direct customer and channel led agreements, and vendor subcontracts within GPS’ Federal portfolio.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Apply public sector/cloud industry expertise to provide inbound agreement support to GPS for the following functions: indirect subcontractor SOWs; Partner-led Subcontractor Statement of Works (SOWs), direct task order subcontractor SOWs, signed space/infrastructure leases/orders.
  • Assist in managing agreements with US Federal end customers to include task orders, billing, invoicing, and company compliance processes. This includes supporting the drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating of a wide variety of contracts, including nondisclosure and teaming agreements, government agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, master services agreements and SOW, and vendor agreements.
  • Support proposals with an emphasis on risk identification/mitigation and reviews of contractual documents to ensure the protection of GPS’ contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Manage vendors and contractors through procurement lifecycle (identification, contracting, onboarding, purchasing, and deliverables).
