Senior Finance Analyst, Android Extended Reality

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in fluid semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience setting standard costs of manufactured goods.
  • Knowledge of SQL and statistical tools/systems.
  • Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships, work in a fluid, constantly evolving environment, and drive operational initiatives.
  • Excellent investigative skills, with business judgment and ability to communicate with executive management.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

The goal of FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) is to create financial insights that make Google better by unpacking complex business problems to reveal opportunities, manage risk, and steward scarce resources. Android Ecosystems Emerging Platforms Finance is the team that applies the above mission to Android Auto, TV, XR, and Business Communication products in coordination with the cross-finance and cross-functional teams.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide support and participate in business-facing projects. Develop financial models to long-range product strategy and to support customer and partnership agreements.
  • Help define financial OKRs and metrics that drive the business. Track key performance metrics and OKRs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships and collaborate with product, finance and other functions across the organization.
  • Provide Profit and Loss (P&L) management support including business, payroll and expense forecasting and Purchase Order (PO) management.
  • Develop and maintain cost models for semiconductor manufacturing processes, set standard costs of manufactured goods and review costs for inventory.
