Private Equity Business Development Executive, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing products and technologies within Cloud or SaaS sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple, evolving projects in parallel.
  • Experience working at a private equity firm or for a private equity-backed company.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive other stakeholders toward goals without reporting authority.
  • Ability to engage effectively with executives, paired with the technical literacy to interact with CTOs and technical leaders.
  • Excellent business development and collaboration skills.

About the job

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with leading private equity firms to drive awareness, adoption and customer success of Google Cloud services within their portfolio companies. You’ll own the implementation of our playbooks that define our private equity engagement model, and be the expert on global programs and offerings that we can leverage for our investor partners. You will collaborate with cross-functional peers internally, especially in sales, strategy and operations, strategic pursuits, customer engineering, marketing and partnership solutions teams, to develop an aligned strategy for the selected private equity relationships and their portfolio companies. Through your relationships as well as public and proprietary data sources, you will stay abreast of portfolio developments, and leverage that information to guide Google Cloud strategies for portfolio companies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted expert advisor to private equity partners, investors, and procurement teams leading initiatives that accelerate the success of their portfolio companies.
  • Make it easy for portfolio companies to leverage Google Cloud and Google products and services.
  • Engage CxOs to drive pipeline and business growth opportunities for Google Cloud in partnership with the field teams.
  • Co-lead regular reviews with private equity firms on their respective portfolios.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver exceptional events, content and offers to private equity firms.
