Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of technical leadership experience with industrial power system design, development and testing (including data centers).
- Experience in infrastructure design of electrical systems.
- Experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- Experience with electric power industry standards, building codes and safety standards including NEC, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, UFC and UBC.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant fields.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of experience in High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) infrastructure design and distribution equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protective relaying, UPS, and emergency generation systems.
- Experience with electrical distribution, energy storage, and electrical generation technologies, including other microgrid resources.
- Experience with designing High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
- Knowledge of data center electrical systems design and operation across HV-MV-LV power distribution, backup power, energy storage and onsite generation.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on creating future data center architecture and design concepts.
- Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies and other carbon free energy (CFE) technologies and find best ways to integrate them into the electrical system architecture.
- Create and maintain plan of record electrical single line and layouts that will help quick implementation in the field.
- Develop architecture and products which will form the reference design for Google Data Centers. Implement solutions that lead to fast, cost effective construction and delivery.
- Drive required cross-functional collaboration with other teams for the adoption of latest architecture into Data center designs.
