Strategic Partner Development Manager, Geo

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in partnerships or other related sectors with a focus on building and implementing strategy and partnerships, with Government partnerships.
  • 2 years of experience with cross-functional, global partner and program management, and managing multi-stakeholder projects on fixed timelines.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with government agencies and transit agencies.
  • Experience in business development, partnerships, product management, general management, sales or other related fields.
  • Experience in designing and implementing processes and policies to partner globally and ensuring partners are fulfilling their contractual obligations.
  • Ability to clarify and summarize complex issues to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in Thai and Vietnamese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills to structure partnership models and maintain complex technical, contractual and financial issues.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

In this role, you will be creating and managing partnerships and alliances to improve Google's Geo products. You will find new partners, discuss alliances, agreement with them, and maintain relationships. You will coordinate with many different teams such as Product, Legal, Marketing, Government Relations, Finance and Engineering to get projects launched.

You will need to stay up-to-date on industry trends and participate, using this knowledge to help guide the strategy for products. You will maintain the entire agreement-making process from start to finish and be organized to manage projects.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product and other cross-functional teams to drive user value. Drive product partnerships and alliances from concept to launch to ongoing partner management.
  • Understand product launches/plans and implications for Google and its partners and contribute to related internal and external communication.
  • Manage coordination with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Government Relations, Policy, PR, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Finance) and other Business Development teams, including regional counterparts around the world.
  • Contribute to the identification, creation, discussion, and implementation of business development agreements that drive results for Google (e.g., partnership deals, bilateral agreements).
  • Build industry trends, emerging data sources, and the engaged landscape. Provide input to Geo and Product to maintain product strategy and roadmaps.
