Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, or a relevant technical domain.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience leading a data center New Product Introduction (NPI) or validation team.
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and public cloud providers (e.g., GCP).
About the job
As the Technical Lead of our New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows within Google's global data center infrastructure, you will lead multi-disciplinary technical programs, driving them from inception to successful delivery. You will be responsible for creating and validating the business and technical requirements for NPI products, ensuring their efficiency before deployment. You will proactively identify systemic bottlenecks, architect innovative solutions to revolutionize NPI efficiency, and influence outcomes across executive leadership and cross-functional partners, including data center operations, engineering, and supply chain. You will directly manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Validation Engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Your will be developing comprehensive validation strategies, managing critical program risks, and ensuring our data centers continue to operate at scale with the highest levels of performance and availability for Google's customers worldwide.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from inception to delivery, architecting innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and time-to-market.
- Develop business and technical requirements for the entire lifecycle of data center products and implement comprehensive validation strategies, test plans, and success criteria for NPI workflows.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to build consensus and influence executive leadership and cross-functional partners on strategic direction and program execution.
- Identify and manage critical program dependencies and risks by developing comprehensive mitigation strategies and overseeing the end-to-end validation of NPI workflows.
