Strategy and Operations Manager, Platforms and Devices Marketing

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 3 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a role requiring impeccable business acumen, analytical problem solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to senior management.
  • Experience coaching or managing junior team members; ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence senior managers.
  • Experience with organizational design work.
  • Experience in Marketing or Advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous fast-changing environment with an entrepreneurial approach.

In this role, you will work with teams in all Google geographies and collaborate cross-functionally with key leaders across Marketing, Product, Finance, and People Operations to solve our toughest challenges, drive high priority projects, and achieve greater operational excellence within Marketing. In this role, you will become a trusted source of advice and an essential partner to executives across all of our products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to set Marketing’s annual strategic plan globally, articulating Marketing’s most critical priorities, and corresponding investment. 
  • Help drive and construct annual plans creating a structured strategy, understanding regional and local needs, and assessing impact and trade-offs.
  • Drive and support critical strategic projects across the Marketing and business organization through user insights and data analyses.
  • Improve overall Marketing efficiency and effectiveness by applying a rigorous approach to Marketing’s operational processes.
  • Evaluate Marketing performance and impact and make data-driven recommendations for how to adjust our approach to reach our ambitious goals.
