Business Development Manager, Marketplace, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in partner management, business development, sales, or channel development in the technology industry.
  • Experience in public cloud solutions across Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in launching partner products and solutions, including complex channel go-to-market strategies such as multi-partner collaborations, cloud marketplace, procurement and consumption-based solutions to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Experience in managing and expanding technology partnership relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams both internally and externally.
  • Experience working in a partnership role at a leading SaaS company.
  • Ability to serve as a trusted partner for C-level executives at partner companies.

About the job

As a Business Development Manager, you will recruit, engage and manage independent software vendors (ISV) to grow the Google Cloud marketplace. You will expand the catalog by onboarding new partners and guiding product, business and legal agreements. You will support both new and existing partners in navigating the marketplace and driving business growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally to shape partner, lead recruitment and manage ISVs throughout their lifecycle from planning to go-to-market. You will relay customer needs and feature requests to product teams and work across Google groups to deliver technical partner solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Establish a partner strategy and priorities to guide recruiting and partner development efforts.
  • Comprehend customer needs for focus industries, then utilize those insights to led partner integrations with our technologies. Advocate for the partner to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Help partners leverage Google's technology to enhance their offerings, integrate with them to fill platform gaps, and expand our product portfolio. Collaborate with partners to secure partnerships with customers, channel partners and sales teams.
  • Initiate new partnerships, facilitate the integration of new products with existing partners and guarantee the prompt and proper resolution of business challenges.
  • Develop partner strategies, strategic account plans, and executive relationships.
