Global Specialty Technical Operations Manager, Customer Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • 10 years of experience as a Customer Engineering Leader, Customer Engineer, CE Operations Manager, or Solutions Architect.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to build, manage and deploy New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and lead product feedback and delivery analytics.
  • Ability to successfully deliver global technical programs, platforms, and processes.
  • Ability to understand and successfully execute the technical sales process.
  • Ability to lead CE enablement and team development globally.

You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Global Specialty Technical Operations Manager, you will work consistently to increase customer and partner engagement, accelerate the technical sales process and drive continuous process and platform improvement around the world. You will help to build foundational tools, processes and platforms supporting the Customer Engineering (CE) teams in Google Cloud Security, Google Maps, Google Workspace, Google Cloud BI, SMB and Apigee. You will work cross functionally to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in Sales and CE excellence in each specialty as well as the Core. You will also help to create and communicate the availability of new CE processes, tools and resources.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $186,000-$261,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own Global Specialty CE metrics that matter operationalization, integration and reporting.
  • Manage Global Specialty CE education programs such as QEP, LEAP.
  • Monitor and continuously improve CE demo, workshop and POV customer and partner engagement platforms.
  • Standardize and facilitate the cloud blockers product feedback process helping to develop customer success motions, AI tools and partner and customer certifications.
  • Partner with CE communications and project management to drive initiatives and deliver Specialty CE events.
