Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in finance (e.g., accounting or taxes), compliance, or finance operations.
- Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting principles including IFRS and US GAAP.
- Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on improvement.
- Excellent Investigative skills with the ability to communicate with executive management.

In this role, you will support all Google’s businesses organization in the Limited Access/Controlled Access (LACA) region, overseeing financial and regulatory compliance matters.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.Responsibilities
- Take ownership of controllership processes, including month-end close, Profit and Loss and Buy/Promote analysis, and reconciliation reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting principles (e.g., International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and United States (US) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)) and tax compliance for Google companies in the region.
- Participate in cross-functional business and governance projects, helping to map, implement, and maintain solutions.
- Collaborate with teams such as corporate finance, tax, legal, and treasury to ensure new products are launched in compliance with local regulations. Gather business requirements and participate in user acceptance tests.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in finance-related processes and close gaps in control frameworks.
