Strategic Partner Development Manager (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in sales, partner management, or business development in the consumer electronics, smartphone, or a related industry.
  • Experience working with distributors and retailers in the Indian market.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree, MBA or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in the mobile industry, working with mobile devices, operators, or distributors.
  • Experience managing business channels, launching products, and achieving growth goals. Understanding of the business process, from planning to execution.
  • Experience with partner development, relationship management, and negotiating agreements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills along with business judgment.
  • Ability to plan and manage at operational levels in a fluid environment.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As the Strategic Partner Development Manager for Regional Distribution and Retail Deployment, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our Pixel business and ecosystem products across India. This role has two primary functions: leading our business through Regional Distributors in North and West India, and deploying retail programs across all channels nationwide. You will partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product, finance, and legal teams to execute on our go-to-market strategy and achieve our business goals.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key distribution partners, conduct business planning, forecasting, and hold regular performance reviews with distribution partners and act as a business coach to the distributors' teams, representing the best of Google's products and values to grow the business.
  • Lead the deployment of retail programs and initiatives across all channels in India and rollout the launch programs for new Pixel devices and ecosystem products also oversee in-store operations and analyze sell-out data and program effectiveness. Manage budgets for retail incentive promotions.
  • Strategize channel selection and expansion and manage stakeholders to build and execute a growth plan.
