Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, Gemini App Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with Product/Engineering teams.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The North America Search and Gemini Partnerships team is looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about the emerging Generative AI landscape and enthusiastic about working with partners to deliver Gemini adoption and results. This role focuses incubating critical user journeys, leading sensitive partner discussions and bringing new third-party integrations to market in order to drive product-market fit for the Gemini App and overall value to Google and the partner ecosystem.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global partnership plans and partner agreements in support of prioritized verticals for the Gemini App (e.g. Media). This will include elements related to critical user journeys, scaling new features, internationalization, value exchange/partner incentives, assistant migration, and more.
  • Lead relationships and complex discussions with key strategic partners for priority vertical(s) for Gemini App (e.g., Media, Productivity).
  • Serve as a liaison between Product teams and partner ecosystem in order to set strategy, land third-party integrations, collect feedback, and influence the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams (including Product Management, gTech, Legal, Engineering, cross-BD, Strategy and Operations, others) to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and partners internationally.
  • Drive thought leadership on Gemini App distribution opportunities within managed verticals.
