Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience as a people manager in Product Management.

The Android App Safety team builds novel detection and enforcement solutions, provides platform technologies to give app reviewers superpowers, ensures a positive experience for well-intentioned developers and continually earns the trust of our users.

As the Director in the Android App Safety team, you will be a leader for the product team that works hard every day to keep Android users safe and developers successful. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing products, policies, and operations around safe Android applications, including the introduction of new form factors and GenAI technologies. Your role requires protecting against abuse in the Android and Play ecosystems while building trust with legitimate actors and organizations. You will own implementing a seamless app review and publishing experience for developers across all aspects of that lifecycle. You'll establish a prominent voice in the developer community, incorporating external feedback and empathy into our operations, ensuring our systems lead the industry for quality and excellence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Optimize the end-to-end developer experience during the app review and publishing process, identifying and implementing improvements across policies, guidelines, communications, systems and tooling. 
  • Design processes, metrics, and systems to support Android form factors beyond mobile, like XR, to ensure seamless policy enforcement operations that are adapted to their unique use cases.
  • Partner closely with Trust & Safety to drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and service delivery, backed by robust analytics and insights into trends and opportunities.
  • Transform learnings from incidents into product features to mitigate recurrence.
  • Engage with Play developers through social media and other channels, building relationships with key community members and influencers while identifying pain points related to Play policy.
