Customer Solutions Engineer, gTech Ads (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders, driving customer technical implementations or transformation programs.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in the online advertising industry.
  • Experience with SQL, Linux, and cloud or distributed computing platforms like BigQuery, Hadoop, App Engine, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with people and multiple job functions.
  • Ability to work separately, and manage multiple projects and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical materials to groups.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

In this role, you will lead in-market product commercialization, market analysis, customer product needs assessments, and day-to-day technical escalations in order to maintain the success of the customers. You will have the ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences, and interact with product management teams. You will be working with cross-functional teams to improve the products and operations. You will be familiar with online advertising and will have experience working within the industry.Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting services and guidance around Google Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and tech platforms to help clients develop applications across ads products.
  • Work with customers to understand underlying business tests. Manage relationships with business teams and customers, and leverage these relationships to identify and develop technical solutions that lead to more advertising business.
  • Work across business, support and product teams to provide solutions to tests.
  • Propose, design, create and present prototypes, demos and proofs-of-concept to audiences including engineers to marketing professionals.
  • Leverage Google’s tech platforms and big data analytics systems to achieve the goals.
