Senior Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, gTech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++).
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • 6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • 6 years of experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).
  • Knowledge or experience with industry advertising solutions, including targeting, re-marketing, measurement and reporting, or working with the ad tech ecosystem.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience writing detailed technical documentation.

The Web Ecosystem team within gUP works as a specialized group of technical experts handling the cross-product, incubation, activation and scale programs that are key to Google priorities. We are a key bridge between Google's groundbreaking technology and the world's leading companies who are building the future.

As a Senior Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, you will serve as the eyes and ears of Chrome in the ecosystem, and represent the partners within Chrome. This core principle drives every aspect of the team's work, ensuring that Chrome is building the right products for the web, and that partners have the support they need to adopt them. The team functions as the vital, bidirectional bridge between Chrome's product strategy and real-world partner and ecosystem needs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the world's most influential businesses, guiding their engineering and product leaders as they plan their digital strategy, with clear implementation plans as it pertains to the web.
  • Identify and define future platform capabilities by independently understanding strategic partner needs, translating them into actionable product proposals, and validating the next generation of web technologies.
  • Generate the foundational proof points or activation strategies for Go-To-Market (GTM) that are essential for market assessment, incubation, and broad adoption, while focusing on high-leverage ways to achieve these goals.
  • Provide a high-fidelity, actionable feedback channel from key partners directly into the product development lifecycle.
