Manufacturing Engineer, Product Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience at a company developing supply chains in manufacturing and test.
  • Experience working with ODMs, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers for hardware in the data center networking topology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience at a company developing supply chains for data center infrastructure equipment.
  • Experience with high-speed optical and copper network infrastructure design and testing methodologies including ethernet, serial bus interfaces, transceivers, or BERT.
  • Experience in working with contract manufacturers and suppliers to drive root cause.
  • Experience with Python/SQL scripting.
  • Understanding of CMOS devices, fabrication processes, ATE test, DFT, quality, and reliability.

The Product Operations team within the supply chain is developing new products in the networking and optics space. In this role, you will be working closely with Platform Infrastructure Engineering, External Vendors/Suppliers, other Supply Chain teams and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services)/JDM (Joint Design Manufacturer) partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead reviews between Design and Operations Engineering to drive deliverables that are key to implementing the manufacturing plan, such as Design For Excellence (DFx) and test strategy.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for pre-production builds. Ensure factory readiness, support manufacturing line bring-up, provide product debug training and gather feedback on build issues. Drive yield bridge analysis to improve product quality.
  • Lead the technology assessment for new products. Co-work with the Product team to influence design decisions, highlight manufacturing risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Reliability Engineers to establish NPI and production goals for yield and long-term reliability. Validate product qualification plans, support reliability testing and review results to ensure product performance meets requirements.
