HR Market Consultant, People Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience with Switzerland labor law and in a labor relations environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience implementing HR projects, risk management/mitigation and supporting change management, business readiness, communications, and training activities.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and drive decisions with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of HR , exposure to CoE disciplines and Switzerland employment law.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent project/change management and delivery skills , with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.

At Google, our Market Consultants are known for subject matter expertise in HR programs, processes, and execution in their particular market.

As a Market Consultant, you will lead change in a number of areas, including labor relations, strategic capability, manager effectiveness, policy and process, culture and engagement, and incident response. You will offer a trusted and knowledgeable perspective around HR matters as it relates to the market, internally and externally. You will work across multiple partners and business stakeholders to collaborate and represent the needs of Google. You will seek out opportunities to make improvements to the Googler experience, taking ideas through to completion.

In this role, you will work with all areas of People Operations to execute on and operationalize Google Switzerland’s People Strategy. You will work with Market delivery teams to develop subject matter/operational expertise within a variety of service areas and maintain resource documentation, including governance, communications, and general program management.

Responsibilities

  • Support local labor management councils/work councils where applicable.
  • Drive and own recommendations and prioritization to ensure work is in service of the delivery of our Googler Experience in country.
  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure end-to-end delivery for our HR processes in country. Work with the HR Compliance team, Process Ownership team, User Support team and the relevant Center of Excellence (COE) teams on prioritizing and mitigating market related risks an provide local context and advice on key HR related matters.
  • Contribute to the deployment of high priority country focussed HR programmes and initiatives, aligned to the country People plan.
  • Manage local employment policy and practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Solve for compliance matters and review local policies in the context of the market.
