Technical Program Manager, Data Center Compliance, Audit and Policy (Bahasa Malaysia, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or technical project management.
  • Experience in compliance or audit services.
  • Experience in program management, change management and communication strategy.
  • Experience in interacting with multiple Malaysian government agencies and regulators.
  • Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English fluently in order to interact with the local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with regulations (e.g., Malaysia Cybersecurity Act 2024, BNM Risk Management in Technology (RMiT), Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), etc.) and ISO certifications (e.g., 27001, 22301) related to data center operations and cybersecurity in Malaysia.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work separately.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management skills.
  • Excellent investigative and communication skills, with the ability to construct and defend messages or insights from analysis.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google’s Data Center Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is a dedicated organization chartered with protecting the people and assets of Google’s global infrastructure. CSRM consists of industry leading professionals who leverage advanced security systems, dedicated guarding forces, and risk management and compliance framework programs to support Google Data Centers.

In this role, you will lead and drive the success of audits and compliance as related to Google Data Centers. You will be a thought leader who creates solutions by leveraging the expertise of partners like Cloud Compliance, Legal, Google Data Centers (GDC) Management. You will cover a region of infrastructure spaces and interact with teams in GDC to ensure the delivery, execution and optimization of the audits and compliance program.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Center teams to ensure that their programs align to audit/compliance expectations and help prepare them for future audits.
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute on-site audits from multiple sources (e.g., customer, insurance, etc.) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and collaborate with the team and partners to help in building and driving the development of the Data Center compliance program.
  • Help to enhance, transform, create or deprecate practices and processes, with the goal of supporting the compliance and audit requirements across the organization.
  • Create and maintain program documentation and training.
