Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in Program Management.
- Experience in supporting projects in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
- Experience in occupational health and safety, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in industrial or chemical facilities (e.g., electrical safety, process safety etc.).
- Experience with initiatives that promote safety culture (e.g., behavior based safety).
- Knowledge of workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Ability to coach, influence and advise leadership and vendor stakeholders to achieve positive Environmental Health and Safety outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support the data center operational teams on the active implementation and maintenance of Google’s Environmental, Health and Safety Management System.
- Support the active maintenance of the site’s Environmental related certifications (e.g., ISO 1400), and regulatory compliance (e.g., with the Seveso) directive and local permits.
- Execute and manage site Environmental, Health and Safety compliance calendar tasks/requirements.
- Engage frequently with colleagues and processes on the floor (e.g., regular safety walks with and without leadership stakeholders), toolbox talks, inspections, incident investigation and follow-up etc.
- Organize and execute meetings, reports, trainings, and site plans (e.g., identify and assess operational Environmental, Health and Safety risks).
