Transportation Program Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing warehousing and supply chain operations.
  • 5 years of experience working with, supervising, and managing third party logistics relationships.
  • 2 years of experience working with Transportation Management Application (e.g., JDA).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience driving performance through metrics and using data for process improvement.
  • Experience working across all levels, from associates to senior-level leaders.
  • Experience in the use of distribution strategies and ability to interpret carrier rates, agreements and tariffs.
  • Knowledge of multi modal transportation.
  • Ability to lead people/cross-functional and project teams in a matrix environment to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Transportation Planning using JDA Transportation Management System.
  • Serve as Transportation liaison between Supplier, Contract Manufacturing , National and Regional Carriers, and GCL warehouses on shipping plans.
  • Develop and driverive cost saving opportunities within the network, seek solutions to streamline processes, and make recommendations to automate and improve efficiencies.
  • Be a problem solver with the experience to understand, address and resolve issues that arise in day-to-day operations.
  • Manage day-to-day escalations root cause and corrective actions with the teams, support the operationalization of key fulfillment acceleration programs, develop and execute training on new processes and oversee team of transportation support vendors.
